RNA Velocity Inference   Single-cell RNA sequencing technology has been helping scientists study cell differentiation and gene regulation. A recently proposed concept, called RNA velocity, involves modeling the dynamics of unspliced and spliced RNA counts and provides a new perspective to researches in this field. While linear ODE models are extensively used, they are based on certain simplified assumptions. Currently, we are applying new methods, including machine learning models, to RNA velocity inference in the hope of uncovering the dynamics better, and even figuring out the way genes interact with each other.
